Sixth Form Leadership

15th April 2016

The next chapter Schools exist for young people. It follows then that the involvement of young people in the leadership of academic institutions is not only sensible, but necessary. By providing girls with greater ownership of their educational experience, we ensure they develop the skills to manage their own direction in life, which in a…

Lent Collection feeds thousands with fish The final newsletter of Lent Term commenced with a message from Mrs Raffray which highlighted the many freedoms we in the UK enjoy and which other people, in other places, are not so fortunate to experience. The backdrop to this reflection was a Monday morning assembly in which the…

Screen Time

18th March 2016

A questionable recreation As our series of veritas lectures continues, Dr Aric Sigman’s talk on the contentious issue of recreational screen time attracted the curiosity of many. As a thought leader on matters of health education, Dr Sigman’s candid approach is, as one might expect, well informed, respected and authoritative. But is the danger of…

Quicksticks Festival

18th March 2016

Quicksticks Festival nets success with local Catholic schools There is something superhuman about the P.E. Department at St Augustine’s Priory. The pace at which they operate would rival Road Runner. Strengthening Our Community: The Return of Boys to our Preps and Pre-Preps

We are excited to share that, from September 2026, boys will begin moving up from our Nursery into Reception, marking the gradual reintroduction of boys into our Prep and Pre-Prep School.

This step reflects growing interest from families who value our strong holistic ethos and unique grounds and setting and would like their sons and daughters to share their educational journey together.

At St Augustine’s, our strong sense of community, academic excellence, and deep care for each individual child remain at the heart of everything we do. This is a natural evolution of our school rather than a change to who we are, building on our strengths and allowing us to offer the same joyful, inspiring education to even more children.
