Welcome to the Seniors

We are an all-through Catholic school and nearly all girls rise each year from our Preps to continue their Senior School education with us. As members of the London 11+ Consortium, we also warmly welcome applications from external applicants for our 11+ process. As a Catholic school, we treasure the whole person and our entry process reflects this. By the time they leave us, we want each student to know how they will change the world.

Our students know that here at St Augustine’s they will learn how to learn. They will do so in small classes with inspirational teachers who know that excellent academic results and access to the best universities in the world emerge from the best pastoral care. Our exam results are consistently outstanding with extremely high levels of value add. Our Upper VI leavers set off to study at the most prestigious and competitive universities in the world from Oxford and Cambridge to Imperial, studying Medicine, Dentistry, English and Modern Languages with scholarships to American universities interspersed. But in the end, our students know (and in these times more than ever) that they are not defined by their grades. They are not defined by anything – they know they will make their mark on a world which is yearning for people of vision, compassion, joy and creativity.

We know that the route to life-long success is found in healthy relationships, a profound culture of respect and the highest of standards for all. Our work in the last two years has been on a visionary approach to all aspects of inclusion coming out of global agendas of representation and equality. Our students are learning how to hold complex conversations, to negotiate and think creatively. They know how to be agents of positive change.

Students rejoice in access to a farm and 13 acres of green space which is unrivalled in West London. They take intellectual risks running escape rooms as they learn Computing, they take part in whole year group drama productions. They buck trends and fill Science and Maths A level classes. With sports facilities on site and an inspirational co-curricular programme our students know they are valued and loved for who they are in the round. They also know we are preparing them to be people of courage and determination, working with skill, dignity and vision and ready for a world which is not just global but intergalactic!
