Senior Sports Day

Records broken.

Senior Sports Day was held this year on a very warm summer’s day – Friday 17th June.  Several records were broken in a morning of great competition.

St Michael’s House emerged victorious, closely followed by St George, St Raphael and then St Gabriel.  There were two winners of the Victor Ludorum, Sienna in Upper IV and Ireoluwa in Lower V – many congratulations to them both.  Well done to those who achieved the House Spirit awards:  Yasmine in Upper IV (St Michael), Niamh in Upper IV (St George), Freya in Lower VI (St Raphael), and Alice in Form III (St Gabriel).

As for records, several were smashed!  In Form III, the 800m record was equalled by Margault and Maria broke the High Jump record.  In Lower IV, Esinam broke the 100m record and Sienna, in Upper IV, broke both the 100m and 200m records.  Also in Upper IV, Stella broke the 300 m record and Isobel broke the 800m record, while Lucia equalled the High Jump record.  Finally, in Lower V, Ireoluwa broke both the 100m and 200m records.

Congratulations to all who took part in this wonderful day of sporting competition, and also to our magnificent P.E. Department, who masterminded the day with such flair.
