Super-Curricular & Careers

A large and important part of your sixth form education is delivered, not within your A Level studies, but in the broad-ranging and varied super-curricular life of the school.  Within our curriculum we have created our bespoke “Preparing Your Future” course for our Priory Sixth students to complement and  enhance their academic studies and ensure that they are fully equipped for life beyond school.  This course includes Financial and Computing modules, wider reading presentations and ethical debates and discussions as well as tailored PSHE and RSE sessions.  Moreover, we have a strong, personalised careers programme which enables students to explore the multitude of pathways available to them and to receive individualised advice and guidance.

During Priory Sixth, students meet regularly with their tutor and with the Director of Priory Sixth individually to support them in achieving their future plans.  They are also supported by a thorough programme of Higher Education guidance, including “Futures Fortnight” which encourages students to explore the UCAS process as well as the many different pathways available to them.  We know that this area is a real strength of Priory Sixth; our unique ability to get to know our sixth form students so well enables us to provide exceptionally bespoke guidance and opportunities.

We strongly encourage all students to engage fully with the numerous opportunities offered to them during their time here.
