Lower IV and Form III Retreat

Posted: 14th June 2019

A day of reflection.

Last week Form III, Lower IV, Lower V and Lower VI sat their school examinations.  This was an intense week of exams and on Friday Form III and Lower IV took stock and participated in class retreats.

Lower IV’s retreat had as its theme ‘The Power of Friendship’ and Mr Dellow, Senior Form Teacher, Lower IV, reports on the day.

Lower IV and their Golden Chain poem

‘After a week of assessments our Lower IV girls enjoyed a day full of reflection and fun activities. The theme for the day was the Power of Friendship. We began the day in the Chapel where Mrs George introduced the retreat after which the girls then split into four groups and completed four different activities. The girls took part in bible freeze frames, poems about friendship and a quote search around our sports hall.

Form III prepare their liturgy

In the afternoon the girls prepared and delivered a wonderful liturgy. An array of talent was on display, we listened to musical pieces and readings, sang hymns and enjoyed some role play based on the activities from earlier in the day. One group even prepared a set of chatterboxes based on friendship. It was so lovely to see the year group come together and all contribute to a really memorable liturgy.’
