Carol Service preparations
Carol Service preparations began early at St Augustine’s Priory. During the October half term we held an exciting cross-curricular workshop in which the Art and Drama Departments collaborated in preparation for the Carol Service which is on Tuesday 9th December at 7.45 pm in Ealing Abbey.
The workshop brought together some of our enthusiastic artists from across the school to make large-scale puppets representing stylised versions of the people and images from the Nativity which will form the backdrop to the carols and readings during the Carol Service.
Artist Laura X Carle came and led the day-long workshop with our artists. Laura works as a freelance Artist Educator, running workshops for families, schools and community groups across the UK. She has exhibited in the UK and internationally and works primarily with sculpture medium. Laura’s work can be seen at www.lauraxcarle.com
