Shoeboxes Galore!

Operation Christmas Child

Our pupils have been working hard over the past few weeks to put together Christmas gift shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse’s ‘Operation Christmas Child’.  Gifts are packaged in shoeboxes and then sent to children in need across the world.  These boxes contain presents for play and practicality such as toys, pencils, crayons, notebooks, toothbrushes, toothpaste and gloves and can be marked either for a ‘Girl’ or ‘Boy’ or ‘Girl or Boy’.

As in previous years our pupils and parents gathered together a wonderful amount of boxes – 126 in total!  The beautifully gift-wrapped shoeboxes were collected yesterday to be sent overseas and Lower II Alpha assisted in loading up the van. We have been informed that our boxes this year will be sent to Serbia and that last year they went to Romania.

Thank you to everyone who so carefully selected and put together their Christmas gifts.  They are very much appreciated.
