Careers Programme

A programme to inspire

One of the key aims of St Augustine’s Priory is to prepare girls for life. After A Levels our Priory 6 (Sixth Form) girls will make the exciting progression to university, studying a wide range of subjects from History to Medicine, Law to English Literature. Following their degrees the world of work awaits with all its opportunities. Their time at St Augustine’s Priory seeks to enable the girls to meet these times ahead with an independence of mind, maturity and courage.

As part of this preparation Ms Hagerty, Director of Priory 6, together with Charlotte Higham, Upper V, Careers Prefect, have organised a programme of speakers throughout this Michaelmas Term who hail from a broad range of careers and experience who will inspire, raise questions and motivate our Upper V and Priory 6 pupils to explore the options available to them for their future careers.

As you will have read in last week’s newsletter, we welcomed Mona Arshi, Augustinian parent, former human rights lawyer and poet, to speak to Upper V and Priory 6 on 15th September as a great launch for this programme. As the term progresses speakers from the worlds of engineering, human resources, media, marketing and education will provide some thought-provoking ideas for our girls to consider and reflect upon.
