Open Day

Posted: 1st November 2019

A day to remember.

Saturday 12th October saw our Michaelmas Term Open Day.  St Augustine’s Priory opened its doors to over 150 families, and we all had an amazing time showing St Augustine’s Priory to our very welcome guests.

After a presentation from Mrs Raffray and our Head Girl in the Hall, the visiting families were shown around by our pupil guides – who were as warm and professional as ever – and pupils and staff showcased subjects and facilities.  300 visitors saw all subject areas and, of course, our ever-popular farm and its inhabitants!

At the end of an intense and enjoyable tour families were able to partake of refreshments in the Pupils’ Refectory where our caterers, Holroyd Howe, had prepared some delicious home-made cakes and biscuits.

We always enjoy meeting new friends and showcasing our wonderful school.  Thank you to everyone who contributed to our Open Day, it was certainly a day to remember.

Strengthening Our Community: The Return of Boys to our Preps and Pre-Preps

We are excited to share that, from September 2026, boys will begin moving up from our Nursery into Reception, marking the gradual reintroduction of boys into our Prep and Pre-Prep School.

This step reflects growing interest from families who value our strong holistic ethos and unique grounds and setting and would like their sons and daughters to share their educational journey together.

At St Augustine’s, our strong sense of community, academic excellence, and deep care for each individual child remain at the heart of everything we do. This is a natural evolution of our school rather than a change to who we are, building on our strengths and allowing us to offer the same joyful, inspiring education to even more children.
