Ms D Corkery.

This term we are delighted to welcome Ms D Corkery to St Augustine’s Priory, who joins us as a teacher of R.E.  Ms Corkery says:

‘I’m delighted to be teaching such fantastic pupils. The welcome that I have received since I set foot inside St Augustine’s Priory has been amazing. The warm and collegial nature of the school community is instantly tangible and inspiring.

I studied Theology at St Patrick’s College Maynooth (MTh) and completed my teacher training at the University of Strathclyde (PGDE). I lectured in Theology at a teacher training college in Ireland and have taught in schools in Glasgow and Bath.

R.E. is such a fascinating subject area and I have a particular interest in New Testament studies and the relationship between religion and culture. I have also contributed articles and chapters to academic journals and books on these areas of interest.

Outside school, I love travelling and watching rugby, particularly the Munster and Ireland rugby teams!’

We wish Ms Corkery a happy new year and know that she will enjoy her time with us.

Strengthening Our Community: The Return of Boys to our Preps and Pre-Preps

We are excited to share that, from September 2026, boys will begin moving up from our Nursery into Reception, marking the gradual reintroduction of boys into our Prep and Pre-Prep School.

This step reflects growing interest from families who value our strong holistic ethos and unique grounds and setting and would like their sons and daughters to share their educational journey together.

At St Augustine’s, our strong sense of community, academic excellence, and deep care for each individual child remain at the heart of everything we do. This is a natural evolution of our school rather than a change to who we are, building on our strengths and allowing us to offer the same joyful, inspiring education to even more children.
