Careers Speakers

Posted: 18th January 2019

An inspirational programme for the Lent term.

There is another exciting programme planned for the Careers Speakers event this term.  Yet again, we have an eminent line-up of leaders in their various fields coming to St Augustine’s Priory to speak to Priory 6 and Upper V about their careers and to share their experiences.

The season begins on Thursday 24th January when Caroline Bettis, Head of Buying Childrenswear, Nursery and Haberdashery at John Lewis joins us, followed on Thursday 7th February by Ena Jawa, lead Project manager in Design and Engineering at the BBC.

After half term we will welcome Daniel Cohen, PR and Communications specialist at Sentient and on Thursday 8th March we will hear from Melanie Tan, Consultant Anaesthetist at University College London Hospital.  The two final speakers this Lent term will be Louise Rowan, Senior Control Manager, Governance and Control Team who will be here on Thursday 21st March and finally, on Thursday 4th April, we will met Yvonna Balysz, solicitor at Solarcentury.

Hearing from such an array of speakers is a valuable experience for our pupils; discovering how our visitors chose their careers and the paths they took to arrive at their current positions combines inspirational guidance and very practical advice that benefits our girls enormously.
