Anti-Bullying Week 2020

United Against Bullying.

The theme for Anti-Bullying Week 2020 is ‘United Against Bullying’.  Taking place next week from 16th – 20th November, there are a host of activities planned throughout the week, beginning with Odd Socks day on Monday 16th November when we are all invited to wear odd socks to school – the more garish the better!

The Anti-Bullying Alliance says on their website, ‘This year, more than ever, we’ve witnessed the positive power that society can have when we come together to tackle a common challenge.

Anti-Bullying Week is no different. Bullying has a long lasting effect on those who experience and witness it. But by channelling our collective power, through shared efforts and shared ambitions, we can reduce bullying together. From parents and carers, to teachers and politicians, to children and young people, we all have a part to play in coming together to make a difference.

We’re all a piece in the puzzle, and together, we’re united against bullying.’

Here we print a prayer for Anti-Bullying Week which is a great resource to use throughout the week.

Strengthening Our Community: The Return of Boys to our Preps and Pre-Preps

We are excited to share that, from September 2026, boys will begin moving up from our Nursery into Reception, marking the gradual reintroduction of boys into our Prep and Pre-Prep School.

This step reflects growing interest from families who value our strong holistic ethos and unique grounds and setting and would like their sons and daughters to share their educational journey together.

At St Augustine’s, our strong sense of community, academic excellence, and deep care for each individual child remain at the heart of everything we do. This is a natural evolution of our school rather than a change to who we are, building on our strengths and allowing us to offer the same joyful, inspiring education to even more children.
