Christmas Fair

Posted: 21st November 2017

A panoply of excitement

Just over two weeks to go before our annual Christmas Fair, organised by our Parents’ Committee.  Friday 8th December at 3.00pm sees the event open and it will end with the Grand Prize Draw at 5.30pm.

As always, Father Christmas will be setting up his grotto in the Prep Playground, ably assisted by his elves.  There will be hot dogs and samosa, hot chocolate, tea, coffee and mulled wine (for the adults) and, of courses, cakes.  Belgian waffles will also be making a welcome re-appearance!

In the Pupils’ Refectory there will be a creative craft stall and while one of the Upper II classrooms will be transformed into a photo studio, the other will be a hair and glitter studio.

The Hall will be jam-packed with stalls including the teddy tombola, snowman hoopla, stocking surprise, gift tombola and lucky dip.

Introduced this year is the secret gift shop!  Strictly for children only, this is where they will be able to purchase their Christmas gifts for parents and siblings and leave with them wrapped and ready to put under the tree.  All gifts are brand new and will be just £3.00 each.

The raffle will be drawn at the end of the fair and there are some fantastic prizes on offer, generously donated by many local companies.

After its stunning debut at the Garden Party in the summer, the St Augustine’s Priory Staff Band has responded to popular demand and will be providing live entertainment!

As always, this will be a great introduction to the Christmas season and is a definite date for all our diaries!
