‘Making a Difference’ and ‘Be a Game Changer’

Being inspirational, having an effect on a situation, making a difference – whether on the world stage or in your own home.  We all know of people who are, or have been, game changers:  Archbishop Oscar Romero, Rosalind Franklin, Mother Teresa, Albert Einstein, Marie Curie, Isaac Newton…

Yes, our annual creative writing (and drawing competition) is under way!  Run in conjunction with local independent bookshop, Pitshanger books, we are focusing on our theme this year of Game Changing.

Pupils from Prep I to Upper I are invited to draw a picture or write a story about ‘Making a Difference’.  For those girls in forms Lower I to Upper I they may write a poem or a story and may add an illustration.

Pupils from Lower II to Form III are invited to write a poem or a story on the theme of ‘Be a Game Changer’.

There will be prizes on offer for the first place and runner up in each group and the prizes of book tokens will presented on our fireworks night on Friday 20th October.

Entries must be received by 16th October – so get writing, drawing and researching!
