No Pens Wednesday

Art with a difference

Lower I made the most of No Pens Wednesday on 26th April during their Art lesson with Mrs Mackay, which they spent out in the meadow creating beautiful land art.

Inspired by Andy Goldsworthy whom Lower I have been studying as part of the curriculum, the girls gathered materials in the meadow to fashion delicate patterns and designs.  They even found time to wrap up intricate gifts of flowers for Mrs Mackay.

Andy Goldsworthy is a British artist, sculptor, photographer and environmentalist. He produces art situated in natural and urban settings, producing art work of great beauty, a feat which Lower I brilliantly emulated!
