TfL accreditation scheme.
Earlier in the Lent Term we received our plaque and certificate from TfL (Transport for London) for achieving our Bronze STARS – Sustainable Travel: Active, Responsible, Safe Accreditation. This has been awarded in recognition of achievement in active and safer travel initiatives.
STARS is “TfL’s accreditation scheme for London schools and nurseries. It inspires young Londoners to travel to school sustainably, actively, responsibly and safely by championing walking, scooting and cycling.
STARS supports pupils’ wellbeing, helps to reduce congestion at the school gates and improve road safety and air quality. We will be encouraging pupils and staff to consider the environment and wider community when travelling to school and ensuring that parents park safely when dropping off and collecting.”
We are delighted to have achieved our Bronze STARS and hope to build on this to achieve further success in the future!
