Headteachers are known for many things.  Leadership and academic ability being but two.  Dancing prowess may not necessarily be top of anybody’s list.  Or feature on the list at all, to be brutally honest.

Well, now we all have the opportunity to see for ourselves how Headteachers can waltz, fandango and cha cha cha, as on Sunday 26th June the Strictly Heads event is taking place at the Park Plaza, Westminster.

Headteachers from sixteen London schools are going to compete in a once-in-a-lifetime dance competition in aid of the London-based charity, icandance, and there are 40 tickets allocated to parents, staff and guests from each participating school.

And before you ask, yes, our own Mrs Raffray is taking part in this not-to-be missed event.

Tickets will include entrance to the Strictly Heads dance competition with a celebrity judging panel, performances from the charity icandance, live music and one drink on arrival. There will also be a raffle with fantastic prizes taking place on the night.  The dress code is black tie.

Strengthening Our Community: The Return of Boys to our Preps and Pre-Preps

We are excited to share that, from September 2026, boys will begin moving up from our Nursery into Reception, marking the gradual reintroduction of boys into our Prep and Pre-Prep School.

This step reflects growing interest from families who value our strong holistic ethos and unique grounds and setting and would like their sons and daughters to share their educational journey together.

At St Augustine’s, our strong sense of community, academic excellence, and deep care for each individual child remain at the heart of everything we do. This is a natural evolution of our school rather than a change to who we are, building on our strengths and allowing us to offer the same joyful, inspiring education to even more children.
