Dr D Oikonomou.
St Augustine’s Priory has a vibrant Art Department with pupils of all ages enjoying and benefitting from a superb staff who are motivated and enthusiastic in all that they do.
Our most recent addition to the department, Dr Oikonomou, our Head of Art, has now been at St Augustine’s Priory for a term. His most recent post was in an international school to the west of London after achieving a B.A. in Fine Art in Greece, an M.A. in Fine Art at the City and Guilds in London and a Ph.D in Fine Art at the University of East London.
He has this to say of St Augustine’s Priory, ‘This is a great community and I am pleased to be here. St Augustine’s Priory is a beautiful environment and the staff and pupils here are very friendly.’
In addition to teaching, Mr Oikonomou is a professional artist and his work as a painter contributes to his life as a teacher. Examples of his work are shown below:
