A day researching art.
Friday 8th October saw the Upper V GCSE students visit the Tate Modern for a day studying art. This was a valuable exposure to one of London’s wonderful galleries and the pupils had a very productive day exploring the works on display.
Head of Art, Mr Oikonomou together with Mr Cook accompanied the students, and Mr Oikonomou writes, ‘The students visited many different part of the Tate Modern, mainly focussing on the permanent displays. In addition, they made drawings of selected exhibited art work which would support their individual artistic research. They were exposed to different artists from different movements, from Modernism to our contemporary era.’
