The ICAEW BASE Challenge.
We reported back in March how pupils in Lower VI took part in the BASE challenge organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). They worked in groups of three to four to solve online problems put together presentations in response to case studies they researched.
We are now delighted to announce that one of our teams has achieved a place at the BASE National Final. Congratulations to the winning team of Mia, Melissa and Sofia who will now go on to compete in the final.
BASE is the ICAEW’s national business and accounting competition for 16-17 year olds across the UK and was an exciting experience for all our teams who took part.
The email from ICAEW said: ‘We received a large number of applicants this year and the standard of entries was particularly high. It is a fantastic achievement to reach the final and all your students should be very proud of their hard work.’
