Tribute.
Many of you will remember past pupil and former Augustinian parent, Sharon Charlesworth. Mrs Charlesworth sadly passed away on Sunday 14th February after a long illness. Her courage and shining, joyful character was an example of a life well lived.
Her funeral is on Monday 8th March and, rather fittingly, her funeral procession will be passing St Augustine’s Priory shortly after 09.15 am. Cars will be leaving her home at 09.15 am and will be travelling up Hanger Lane, turning on to Hillcrest Road before making their way to Ealing Abbey.
Sharon was delighted to find out that the route would take her past the school that she loved so much. Wider family and friends are invited to line the route as the funeral procession passes, so please do take part (following social distance guidelines) if you are able. Several former parents from her daughter, Genevieve’s, year group have arranged to line up (following social distance guidelines) along Hillcrest Road outside the school as they have so many fond memories of their time here with Sharon.
Sharon Charlesworth had a wide circle of family and friends and unfortunately, owing to COVID restrictions, so many will be unable to attend her funeral. Lining the route will be a wonderful way to pay tribute to this brave, always positive, woman.
If you would like to send flowers, please do so by sending them in advance and by Monday 8th March after 7:30am and before 08:15am, to Patrick Ryan and Daughter, Funeral Director, 6 South Ealing Road, W5 4QA.

This is to raise £1,500 to fund a memorial bench in Pitshanger Park in honour of Sharon. £3,165 has already been raised – enough to fund two benches at the moment!
Our deepest sympathies and prayers are with Sharon’s children, Genevieve and George, at this time on their loss of a wonderful mother.
Eternal rest grant unto Sharon, O Lord,
And let perpetual light shine upon her,
May she rest in peace.
Amen.
