Meeting Members of Staff

Posted: 15th January 2021

Ms N Weir.

Another new member of staff we welcome to St Augustine’s Priory this term is Ms N Weir, who joins us as a Teaching Assistant in Prep I as cover for Ms Corr.

Ms Weir says, ‘I’m very excited to begin this new journey at St Augustine’s Priory. This will be my first role in a school environment but not my first as a childcare provider. After studying for my CACHE Level 3 Diploma for 2 years at Richmond College I went on to work in two different nurseries and was then a private nanny for one family for over 6 years.  I will be working in Prep I as a Teaching assistant but I am helping in the keyworker provision in the Nursery for now.  I am looking forward to being a part of the girls’ future.’

In her spare time Ms Weir enjoys crafting, including Pyrography (the decoration of materials via the controlled application of a heated object) and working with resin.

We are excited that Ms Weir has joined us and look forward to her time here.

Strengthening Our Community: The Return of Boys to our Preps and Pre-Preps

We are excited to share that, from September 2026, boys will begin moving up from our Nursery into Reception, marking the gradual reintroduction of boys into our Prep and Pre-Prep School.

This step reflects growing interest from families who value our strong holistic ethos and unique grounds and setting and would like their sons and daughters to share their educational journey together.

At St Augustine’s, our strong sense of community, academic excellence, and deep care for each individual child remain at the heart of everything we do. This is a natural evolution of our school rather than a change to who we are, building on our strengths and allowing us to offer the same joyful, inspiring education to even more children.
