Welcome Back!

Beginning a new year.

Thursday 3rd September saw pupils return to St Augustine’s Priory for the start of the Michaelmas Term 2020.  A time of renewing friendships, welcoming new friends to St Augustine’s Priory and enjoying the excitement of moving up into new classes.

We started off the year by celebrating two Masses, with Fr Thomas joining with us to say the first Mass for the Seniors and then the second Mass for the Juniors. This was the ideal way to start the term and was a time for reflection and joy for all.

The Prep Meadow saw all girls making full use of their picnic blankets as gusts of wind blew around us all!

As we celebrated the Feast Day of Pope St Gregory the Great, his words are fitting as we start a new academic year:

‘The proof of love is in the works.

Where love exists, it works great things.

But when it ceases to act, it ceases to exist.’

Strengthening Our Community: The Return of Boys to our Preps and Pre-Preps

We are excited to share that, from September 2026, boys will begin moving up from our Nursery into Reception, marking the gradual reintroduction of boys into our Prep and Pre-Prep School.

This step reflects growing interest from families who value our strong holistic ethos and unique grounds and setting and would like their sons and daughters to share their educational journey together.

At St Augustine’s, our strong sense of community, academic excellence, and deep care for each individual child remain at the heart of everything we do. This is a natural evolution of our school rather than a change to who we are, building on our strengths and allowing us to offer the same joyful, inspiring education to even more children.
