Meeting Members of Staff…

Posted: 4th September 2020

Mrs N Foley and Miss A Carroll.

We are pleased to welcome two new members of staff who have joined us this year – both with Australian connections!  Mrs N Foley has joined us as Form Tutor for Prep III and Miss A Carroll has joined us as Form Tutor for Lower I.

Mrs Foley and Miss Carroll are here covering these classes during the Michaelmas Term and both are settling in exceedingly well!

Mrs Foley originally hails from Sweden and, after being awarded  her first degree in Business and Management from Brunel University, achieved a graduate diploma in primary education from Victoria University in Melbourne and since then has spent five years as a teacher.

Mrs Foley writes, ‘There is a wonderful atmosphere at St Augustine’s Priory, the girls are enthusiastic and the staff are friendly, helpful and enthusiastic about education!  I feel I am part of something beautiful’.

Miss Carroll originates from Melbourne was awarded a B.Ed. from Federation University in Australia.  A primary teacher for three years in Australia, she says, ‘the values of St Augustine’s Priory align with my own personal values and I am looking forward to extending my knowledge of education’.

We wish Mrs Foley and Miss Carroll the very best and know that they will enjoy their life here at St Augustine’s Priory.

Strengthening Our Community: The Return of Boys to our Preps and Pre-Preps

We are excited to share that, from September 2026, boys will begin moving up from our Nursery into Reception, marking the gradual reintroduction of boys into our Prep and Pre-Prep School.

This step reflects growing interest from families who value our strong holistic ethos and unique grounds and setting and would like their sons and daughters to share their educational journey together.

At St Augustine’s, our strong sense of community, academic excellence, and deep care for each individual child remain at the heart of everything we do. This is a natural evolution of our school rather than a change to who we are, building on our strengths and allowing us to offer the same joyful, inspiring education to even more children.
