Upper I Songs and Certificates

Posted: 24th June 2020

A celebration of achievement.

Upper I was welcomed at St Augustine’s Priory yesterday, Tuesday 23rd June, to celebrate their year of achievement with their Songs and Certificates.  After weeks of virtual learning the girls were very excited to be together again (with social distancing firmly to the fore, together with lots of hand sanitising).

After a morning in the Meadow on Retreat, they gathered in the afternoon in the Chapel. Mrs Knowles introduced the Songs and Certificates and Upper I, joined by their friends who were at home and participating virtually, performed songs and readings they had prepared and rehearsed with their teachers via computer.

The theme, aptly for this year, was ‘Courage’ and the staff members present applauded loudly as each item was performed.

After the songs section of the afternoon Mrs Raffray read out each girl’s certificates, which, owing to coronavirus, were not presented to the girls but will be posted on to them.

This was a lovely day and it was so good to see Upper I again at St Augustine’s Priory.

Strengthening Our Community: The Return of Boys to our Preps and Pre-Preps

We are excited to share that, from September 2026, boys will begin moving up from our Nursery into Reception, marking the gradual reintroduction of boys into our Prep and Pre-Prep School.

This step reflects growing interest from families who value our strong holistic ethos and unique grounds and setting and would like their sons and daughters to share their educational journey together.

At St Augustine’s, our strong sense of community, academic excellence, and deep care for each individual child remain at the heart of everything we do. This is a natural evolution of our school rather than a change to who we are, building on our strengths and allowing us to offer the same joyful, inspiring education to even more children.
