A shared experience.
Priory 6 members, Aoife Pedreschi and Jasmine Dawuda were two of this year’s recipients of the St Augustine’s Priory Travel Scholarship and took the opportunity to travel to Vietnam where they taught English to adults (an article on this will follow). At Senior Assembly on Monday Aoife and Jasmine relayed their experiences to a fascinated audience of Seniors and, as part of their presentation, shared with the pupils this prayer for travellers from the Catholic Relief Services.
We are all travellers and so we share this prayer with you…
‘…With thee I pray for all who travel under burning sun or through driving rain, through a teeming city or barren wilderness, over treacherous waters to unknown shores. May they find shelter along the way, food for the journey, compassion in the hearts of those they meet, and safe harbour at the crooked road’s end. Reflect the Creator’s shining grace onto all our paths, and may our journeys lead us closer to God. Amen.’
