Meeting Members of Staff…

Posted: 25th September 2018

Ms K Khairoun.

We are pleased to welcome Ms Khairoun who joins St Augustine’s Priory this term as a member of the Maths Department and will be teaching Maths from Form III to Priory 6.  Here, she introduces herself:

‘I graduated with a degree in mathematics from the University of Greenwich and then undertook teacher training at the Institute of Education.  Having worked as a teacher of mathematics for six years, I am looking forward to starting my journey here at St Augustine’s Priory. The staff and students have all been very welcoming and have made the start of term a great one for me. I look forward to helping the students grow into amazing mathematicians!’

Ms Khairoun describes Mathematics as ‘beautiful’ which echoes the words of philosopher Bertrand Russell who said, ‘Mathematics, rightly viewed, possesses not only truth, but supreme beauty’.

Strengthening Our Community: The Return of Boys to our Preps and Pre-Preps

We are excited to share that, from September 2026, boys will begin moving up from our Nursery into Reception, marking the gradual reintroduction of boys into our Prep and Pre-Prep School.

This step reflects growing interest from families who value our strong holistic ethos and unique grounds and setting and would like their sons and daughters to share their educational journey together.

At St Augustine’s, our strong sense of community, academic excellence, and deep care for each individual child remain at the heart of everything we do. This is a natural evolution of our school rather than a change to who we are, building on our strengths and allowing us to offer the same joyful, inspiring education to even more children.
