Miss H Snell.
We are pleased to welcome Miss Snell who joins us this term as LAMDA teacher, an-ever popular subject which gives pupils the opportunity to enter graded exams in areas such as the speaking of verse and prose and acting. Here she introduces herself:
‘I am delighted that I will be teaching LAMDA at St Augustine’s Priory and am really looking forward to meeting my students. When I was at school, I was fortunate enough to take Speech and Drama classes and I believe them to have played a significant part in my own development. This is one of the reasons why I love to teach LAMDA and it gives me great satisfaction to see my students grow in confidence and develop a love of performance. I have no doubt that I will enjoy teaching the girls at St Augustine’s Priory and am looking forward to getting to know them and seeing them shine.
I trained at The Birmingham School of Acting and have three years’ experience as a professional actress. This includes acting with The Young Shakespeare Company and touring with Oddsocks Productions in the open air. Since then, I have taught English in Vietnam, worked at a Special Needs school, trained as a Primary School Teacher and taught LAMDA. I will be challenging the girls to achieve to the best of their ability but above all, I want my students to love learning and have fun…I know I will!’
