Meeting Members of Staff…

Posted: 7th September 2018

Mr F Lennon.

Mr Lennon joins us as Form Teacher for Lower I and we are very happy to welcome him to St Augustine’s Priory.  Here he introduces himself:

‘I am very much looking forward to joining the staff at St Augustine’s Priory this autumn. I join the school having taught at a variety of levels in primary schools for thirteen years now.

I studied a B.Ed. degree and began my teaching career in Dublin, Ireland where I taught for a number of years at a variety of mainstream class levels in the equivalent of key stages 1 and 2. I also have experience working in a learning support capacity with children with a variety of different learning needs, including autism spectrum condition and dyslexia.

In 2015, I moved to London where I have continued to enjoy my passion for teaching. I have most recently been a Year 3 form teacher and Able, Gifted and Talented Provision Coordinator at Eaton House, the Manor Pre-Preparatory School for boys in Clapham.

Interestingly, most of my teaching experience has been in  Catholic girls’ schools so I am sure I will feel right at home at St Augustine’s! Actively preserving and promoting a Catholic ethos such as at St Augustine’s is something that I personally hold very dear. Also, I firmly believe in challenging every child to reach their maximum potential across the full curriculum. I relish the opportunity to come and work with the girls and help them all to excel in their learning under my care.

Living locally in Ealing, I am really looking forward to building strong and fruitful relationships with the staff, pupils and parents of the St Augustine’s Priory community.’

Strengthening Our Community: The Return of Boys to our Preps and Pre-Preps

We are excited to share that, from September 2026, boys will begin moving up from our Nursery into Reception, marking the gradual reintroduction of boys into our Prep and Pre-Prep School.

This step reflects growing interest from families who value our strong holistic ethos and unique grounds and setting and would like their sons and daughters to share their educational journey together.

At St Augustine’s, our strong sense of community, academic excellence, and deep care for each individual child remain at the heart of everything we do. This is a natural evolution of our school rather than a change to who we are, building on our strengths and allowing us to offer the same joyful, inspiring education to even more children.
