Meeting Members of Staff…

Posted: 7th September 2018

Ms P Brown.

This term we welcome several new members of staff to St Augustine’s Priory and here we are delighted to introduce Ms P Brown, who joins us as Form Teacher for Upper I:

“The countless opportunities and valuable life experience gained throughout my years in Education have heavily influenced my decision to embark on a career in Teaching and Education. Upon reflection, it is the high-quality education and dedicated teaching I have received that inspires my motivation and drive to make a similar impact on the Education of future generations.

I am an Ealing native and attended two fantastic Catholic schools within the borough as a child (St Joseph’s Primary School and The Cardinal Wiseman Roman Catholic School).  In July 2013, I completed my undergraduate BA hons degree in Modern History at the University of Westminster, achieving a 2.1. Following this, in June 2014 I completed my Postgraduate Certificate in Primary Education at Brunel University, graduating at an Outstanding level.

As well as experience of teaching Year 2 (Prep III) and Year 4 (Upper I), I have held the role of Head of Key Stage One (Prep II and Prep III) and supported colleagues in achieving outstanding levels of progress and achievement for all pupils. As a teacher, I am determined to provide pupils with a positive and progressive learning environment which encourages thought, considers wider issues and exposes the value of knowledge and education in a creative and innovative manner. I am extremely passionate about Education and will go above and beyond to ensure all pupils at St Augustine’s Priory reach their goals and strive to be the best person they can possibly be. I am very excited about joining the St Augustine’s Community and sharing my knowledge with the girls”.
