Prep II Prepare Salads!

Posted: 19th June 2018

A Healthy Lifestyle.

Following on from Women’s Wellness Week last week Prep II are really taking to heart the issues addressed.  Ms Daya here reports on their work so far…

‘As part of our Healthy Lifestyles topic in Science, Prep II prepared salads in their lesson this week. They brought in a selection of their favourite ingredients from home; Sofia Britz even brought in some that she had grown!

After a quick demonstration on how to chop safely, the girls spent some time chopping and arranging their fruits and vegetables into a bowl. We had a wide variety of combinations of ingredients from beetroots to olives, cauliflower to pumpkin seeds and not forgetting trusty favourites such as carrots, cucumbers and lettuces.

Next came the best bit – the eating!

Prep II had a wonderful time preparing and eating their salads and learnt many valuable life lessons along the way.’

Strengthening Our Community: The Return of Boys to our Preps and Pre-Preps

We are excited to share that, from September 2026, boys will begin moving up from our Nursery into Reception, marking the gradual reintroduction of boys into our Prep and Pre-Prep School.

This step reflects growing interest from families who value our strong holistic ethos and unique grounds and setting and would like their sons and daughters to share their educational journey together.

At St Augustine’s, our strong sense of community, academic excellence, and deep care for each individual child remain at the heart of everything we do. This is a natural evolution of our school rather than a change to who we are, building on our strengths and allowing us to offer the same joyful, inspiring education to even more children.
