Mr A Cook.

We are pleased to welcome Mr Alan Cook who has recently joined St Augustine’s Priory’s Art Department as Art Technician.  The Art Department’s vibrant life includes opportunities for studying Art at both GCSE and A Level and also Photography at A Level.  Girls enjoy excellent facilities which include our own dark room, thus expanding their photographic horizons! Mr Cook here introduces himself:

‘I come from a fine art background in photography, studied at Bournemouth & Poole College of Art and have been working in commercial photography in London for nearly 20 years. I am currently working on producing photographic work for an exhibition at some point in the not too distant future.

It’s great to join the Art Department at St Augustine’s Priory as I’m looking forward to sharing all my knowledge / skills within the photography element of the school. There is a great atmosphere here as well as a very strong visual awareness right across the board.  It’s an exciting environment to be part of!’

Strengthening Our Community: The Return of Boys to our Preps and Pre-Preps

We are excited to share that, from September 2026, boys will begin moving up from our Nursery into Reception, marking the gradual reintroduction of boys into our Prep and Pre-Prep School.

This step reflects growing interest from families who value our strong holistic ethos and unique grounds and setting and would like their sons and daughters to share their educational journey together.

At St Augustine’s, our strong sense of community, academic excellence, and deep care for each individual child remain at the heart of everything we do. This is a natural evolution of our school rather than a change to who we are, building on our strengths and allowing us to offer the same joyful, inspiring education to even more children.
