Our Parents’ Committee and parent volunteers worked tirelessly last Friday 8th December setting up a spectacular Christmas Fair. Marquees, fairy lights and decorations adorned the school – both inside and out – and Santa’s Grotto sat neatly in the middle of the Prep Playground in its new home under the pagoda.
The Christmas Fair expanded into the School Hall this year making full use of the newly refurbished facilities. A presents stall run by parents, including our very own Art Teacher, Mrs Mackay, was tucked away on the stage, stands lined the walls selling beautiful Christmas decorations handmade by our Prep and Junior girls, and the staff band and choir provided entertainment in the form of both traditional carolling and Christmas pop hits.
The Upper II classrooms were in use, one for ‘hair and makeup’ and the other transformed into a photography studio, and the traditional Waffle stand and (much needed) hot drinks were served in the playground. We would like to thank the Parents’ Committee and our parent volunteers for their commitment and congratulate them on the success of a very festive fair.
