GCSE Results

We have had a wonderful day of GCSE results today at St Augustine’s Priory.  Top grades have been awarded to Upper V girls this year with 82% of GCSE results being A* – B or equivalent (9 – 6).

With a clean sweep of A*s in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, 100% passes in English Literature and Mathematics and 83% of Modern Language grades at A* or A,  our students showed their mastery in a wide range of subjects.  The most common grade was A* or equivalent (9/8).  Overall, pupils scored A* – B in 12 subjects with over half of all pupils (51%) obtaining at least 5 A* or A grades or equivalent (new grades 9/8/7) between them.  54% of the grades achieved in Mathematics, English and English Literature combined were 9, 8 or 7 (A* – A).  95% of all pupils achieved at least 1 grade A*/A or equivalent.  This follows last week’s news that 100% of the Year 11 Additional Mathematics students achieved the top grade, A – a great credit to them and the Mathematics Department. This qualification goes beyond GCSE and serves as an introduction to AS Level.

Congratulations to all the pupils on a job well done!

With a wide variety of subjects available at A Level here Upper V pupils can look forward to studying in Priory 6 under the guidance of outstanding teachers with an emphasis on individual support delivered in small all-girls Sixth Form classes.  Enjoyment and hard work await them in the Sixth Form.

Congratulations to our four Academic scholars, who scored an impressive 32 A*s between them: of them, Josephine Hösel achieved 10 A*s or 9/8s, and Aditi Jadhav obtained 9 A*s and 1 A.

Interim Headteacher, Mrs Marie-Helene Collins, commented, ‘Across the full range of our curriculum, our girls have performed brilliantly and we congratulate them on their outstanding results today. Among many highlights, our excellent separate science performance and fantastic results in the new English and Mathematics courses are a particular source of confidence. Another strong year of results yet again confirms our expertise in teaching girls in our wonderful setting, supported by our dedicated staff and with a Catholic ethos’.

La Petite École d’Ealing, a French language school based at St Augustine’s Priory is pleased to announce that their pupils achieved a clean sweep of A*s and As in their French GCSEs.  St Augustine’s Priory is proud to work with La Petite École as part of a bilingual hub promoting and supporting the teaching of French in Ealing.

For each of our pupils, today’s results represent a huge amount of dedication and ambition. We look forward to seeing their progress as they join Priory 6 for their A Level courses with us.

Strengthening Our Community: The Return of Boys to our Preps and Pre-Preps

We are excited to share that, from September 2026, boys will begin moving up from our Nursery into Reception, marking the gradual reintroduction of boys into our Prep and Pre-Prep School.

This step reflects growing interest from families who value our strong holistic ethos and unique grounds and setting and would like their sons and daughters to share their educational journey together.

At St Augustine’s, our strong sense of community, academic excellence, and deep care for each individual child remain at the heart of everything we do. This is a natural evolution of our school rather than a change to who we are, building on our strengths and allowing us to offer the same joyful, inspiring education to even more children.
