A Level Results
Congratulations to all our Upper VI on their exceptional A Level results, which were released today. In a year of greater challenge at A Level with many linear courses and new specifications, we are delighted to announce the exceptionally strong performance of our girls. Overall, 92% of grades were from A* – C with 72% being from A* – B.
A*s and As were achieved in a wide range of subjects, from Art, Biology, Business, Chemistry, Classical Civilisation, Drama, Economics, English Literature, Geography, Government and Politics, History, Mathematics, Photography, Religious Studies and Sociology.
Examples of our girls’ successes were in Business where all candidates achieved A* and A, and two thirds of History candidates achieved A*.
Successful Business candidates with Mrs Macallister
We are so proud of the girls’ achievements and the students have met confirmed offers for ambitious degree courses at university, such as Physics and Astronomy at Surrey, (whose Professor is the world-renowned Jameel Al-Khalili OBE), Biology at Leeds, Biochemistry at Birmingham, Sociology at Bristol, Art Foundation at Loughborough, Zoology at Leeds, History at York, Politics and International Relations at Bath and Economics at Royal Holloway.
100% of our Year 11 Additional Mathematics students achieved the top grade, A.
Monica Hanna, Sophie Routledge, Aneae Rodriguez, Rebecca Ball, and Claudia Bergin achieved straight A* and A results. As always, there are so many girls whose results speak volumes for their ambition and industry and we are overjoyed for them. It has been a happy day here at school sharing these successes with girls and their parents.
We keep these girls and their families in our prayers as they move forward into the next stage of their lives. We look forward to hearing of their continued success and we wish them well.
