The St Augustine’s Priory Young Enterprise Team, Dexterity, attended the area finals of the Young Enterprise Competition in March. Here Manisha Thukral of Lower VI tells us about the team’s experience of the day:
The ‘Dexterity’ Team working hard on ‘Indulgence’ last November
“The Sixth Form Young Enterprise team attended the area finals of the Young Enterprise competition in March, hosted by the University of West London. There were many other teams from various schools from across Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham who had also come to compete against our product, ‘Indulgence’. After setting up our trade stand there was a long wait before the judging began, which was split into three parts. First, there was a two-minute interview at the trade stand where the judges viewed our product, followed by a rigorous five-minute interview.
In true ‘Apprentice’ style, we were taken into a ‘boardroom’ and grilled about our product and company report. Lastly, there was a four-minute presentation to the judges and to the participants from other schools. Our Team, Dexterity, won the prize for ‘Best Trade Stand’ and we are extremely grateful to have been able to take part in this company project. We would also like to thank Mrs Macallister and Mr Pereira for guiding us through the experience and giving us the opportunity to take part in such a unique programme.”
The beautiful finished product!
