Head for the Day

Posted: 22nd March 2017

Miss Isabel Upcraft stepped in as Headteacher for the Day on Friday 17th March.  Miss Upcraft decreed that the Senior school would be allowed to wear nail varnish and have their hair down for the day, while her year group, Lower IV Alpha, would have a mufti day.  The acting Headteacher, along with her colleagues, had juice and cakes in the Headteacher’s study at little break.

Miss Upcraft had a busy afternoon; as well as juggling her lessons and a specially requested lunch of pesto pasta with her colleagues in her study, she met with Mrs Cotton regarding planning the school diary and took Junior and Senior school assembly.  The Junior Science Fair also needed to be judged, and Miss Upcraft joined Mrs Raffray to view the many experiments that had been set up by the Junior School, and decide on the winner (to be announced by Mrs Round soon!).

Miss Upcraft’s final responsibility as Head for the Day was to don a hard hat and high vis jacket and take a tour of the Building Development Project with the architects and be updated on the progression of our new School Hall.  We hope Miss Upcraft and her colleagues had a wonderful day!
