It’s Quiz Time!

Posted: 24th February 2017

Clear your diaries…

The Parents’ Committee are planning another of their exciting Quiz Nights, which this year will be on Friday 24th March from 7.30pm.  This is always an event to test your knowledge, scratch your heads and get your thinking caps on (and enjoy good company and good food)!

The Committee writes:

‘Please join us for the St Augustine’s Priory Pink Cheese Quiz. Anyone familiar with Trivial Pursuit will recognise the pink cheese as everyone’s favourite category – Entertainment.

We’ve expanded the category a little to cover all elements of pop culture. You can expect to be quizzed on movies, television, music, sport, current affairs, celebrities, social media and much more. It’s your chance to let your friends and neighbours know how cool you are by showing off your expansive knowledge of pop culture.

There will be plenty of multimedia action, incorporating videos and music along with traditional question rounds and a Marathon round to argue over throughout the quiz. Whether you’re coming along to try and beat the competition or just to have fun with friends, there should be something in there for everyone.

Tables hold teams of 8-10 people, but you don’t have to book a whole table. If you are a new parent or have just never been to one of our quizzes before, please come along and give it a try. It’s a great way of meeting other parents and socialising. Just buy as many tickets as you need and we’ll make a team for you. We’ll always do our best to put you with other parents from your year group.

For ease you may add the cost of the tickets to your school account by signing the consent form with your details and returning it to the Parents’ Committee via the School Reception or, if you would prefer, return the form with a cheque or cash made payable to ‘St Augustine’s Parents’ Association’.

Thank you in advance for your support. As always, all funds raised on the night go towards additional extras for our daughters at the school.’

Strengthening Our Community: The Return of Boys to our Preps and Pre-Preps

We are excited to share that, from September 2026, boys will begin moving up from our Nursery into Reception, marking the gradual reintroduction of boys into our Prep and Pre-Prep School.

This step reflects growing interest from families who value our strong holistic ethos and unique grounds and setting and would like their sons and daughters to share their educational journey together.

At St Augustine’s, our strong sense of community, academic excellence, and deep care for each individual child remain at the heart of everything we do. This is a natural evolution of our school rather than a change to who we are, building on our strengths and allowing us to offer the same joyful, inspiring education to even more children.
