Alumnae Event, 8th October

Posted: 11th October 2016

Greeting old friends

Following our Open Day on Saturday 8th October it was marvellous to be able to meet old friends as we held an Alumnae event at St Augustine’s Priory.

Leavers from 1969 until 2013 and from as near as Ealing and as far away as Toronto, Canada, joined with staff to enjoy lunch and, for some of them, to meet teachers they remember and who remember them well!

After lunch the past pupils went round the school to remember all the places they frequented as children and discovered some innovations which had been put in place since they were last here.

There was much reminiscing and a great deal of laughing as these alumnae joined together to enjoy each other’s company.

One alumna commented, ‘It was wonderful to come back to St Augustine’s Priory and to eat in the Nuns’ Refectory – one of the locations we were not allowed to go in to when I was at school here! It was so good to see the school and how it has developed over the years; it is looking beautiful, especially the Chapel’.

Thank you to all the past pupils who came back to St Augustine’s Priory on Saturday, it was so good to see you all – please do come back soon!
