High 5 Netball Tournament

Posted: 29th September 2016

A great afternoon of sport

Mrs Gosling, Director of Sport, reports on the wonderful afternoon last week when we hosted a High 5 netball tournament:

‘On Friday 23rd September, we welcomed five local schools, including several Catholic Primary schools, for a High 5 Netball Tournament. High 5 Netball is a Junior form of Netball which aims to develop not only knowledge of the game but versatility as players play in all positions. An A and B tournament ran all afternoon and St Augustine’s Priory was pleased to enter three teams into the tournament.

The sun was shining for a fantastic afternoon of Netball with all teams making big improvements. There were goals and interceptions flying in from everywhere and all players had a great afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Each team scored numerous goals throughout the afternoon and both tournaments came down to 1 goal! Both tournaments saw St Mark’s finish in third place, St Augustine’s Priory in second and St Vincent’s winning in first place.

This was a brilliant afternoon and we enjoyed welcoming all the local schools. We are already looking forward to the Quicksticks hockey tournament in March 2017!’

Thank you to Years 5 and 6 from Mount Carmel, St Mary’s, St Vincent’s, St Mark’s and North Ealing Primary Schools for joining us for a fantastic tournament. We look forward to collaborating with you further sporting activities!

Strengthening Our Community: The Return of Boys to our Preps and Pre-Preps

We are excited to share that, from September 2026, boys will begin moving up from our Nursery into Reception, marking the gradual reintroduction of boys into our Prep and Pre-Prep School.

This step reflects growing interest from families who value our strong holistic ethos and unique grounds and setting and would like their sons and daughters to share their educational journey together.

At St Augustine’s, our strong sense of community, academic excellence, and deep care for each individual child remain at the heart of everything we do. This is a natural evolution of our school rather than a change to who we are, building on our strengths and allowing us to offer the same joyful, inspiring education to even more children.
