Prep III supports The Little Princess Trust

Working to help others

At St Augustine’s Priory we take the responsibility to others seriously. This was evident in the Prep Assembly on Wednesday 27th September which celebrated the work of the Little Princess Trust and one of its supporters, Christina Miller in Prep III, who has had her hair cut in support of this charity.

The work of the Little Princess Trust is very important.  It states on its website, ‘We provide real hair wigs, free of charge, to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.

As a result of treatment for cancer, most children will suffer hair loss as a side effect.  Some boys and girls cope remarkably well but for others this can be very upsetting.’

Christina’s mother, Mrs Miller, writes, ‘Christina has cut her hair for the Princess Trust to donate for wigs for children with cancer. She has also raised £299.24 from donations which have also gone to the Little Princess Trust and we have just received a certificate.

Christina is very proud as this is her first fundraising activity and we are very happy with the amount of responses she has received.’
