Victorious Qualifying Expedition Participants
At St Augustine’s Priory we are pleased to offer all three levels of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Bronze, Silver and Gold. During the summer the Silver Award candidates travelled to Wales. Ms Hayden takes up the story…
‘On 1st August the Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award participants from St Augustine’s Priory, along with Ms Hayden and Mr Thomas, journeyed to Machynlleth, Wales, to take on their qualifying expedition. The expedition started off with some rough weather but, as the days progressed, the girls were greeted with sunshine ad blue skies. The girls tackled difficult forest tracks with ease and enjoyed a scenic coastal walk on their last day.
The assessors were impressed with all the participants’ performances and approved them to pass their qualifying expedition. Congratulations to Ayla, Abbie, Serena, Grace, Michelle, Elise and Olivia for completing a challenging expedition and performing to such a high standard.’
