Mrs K Cotton, Deputy Head Seniors

We are pleased to welcome Mrs Cotton who has joined us at St Augustine’s Priory this Summer Term as Deputy Head, Seniors while Mrs Collins is on maternity leave and look forward to her being with us until April 2017.  Mrs Cotton joins us from St Catherine’s School in Twickenham where she was Head of Key Stage 4.  After taking her B.A. in German and French at King’s College, London she studied for her PGCE at Homerton College, Cambridge and has also achieved an M.A. in Education Management at King’s College, London.

Mrs Cotton is bilingual in German and English, having grown up in Germany, and now lives with her family in Kingston-upon-Thames.  She is a keen cook and is also a talented singer; at the moment she is studying for her ABRSM Diploma in Singing and is looking forward to contributing to the musical life of St Augustine’s Priory.

We asked Mrs Cotton what had attracted her to working at St Augustine’s Priory.  She responded:

‘I am looking forward to taking on the challenge of an existing role.  The Catholic nature of St Augustine’s Priory held a great appeal for me and the way this is reflected in the teaching life of the school, its life of prayer and reflection and the way everyone treats everyone else – a reflection of the gospel values.

I am really looking forward to getting to know the girls and staff and becoming involved in music and also Zumba!’

We wish Mrs Cotton the very best for her time here.

Strengthening Our Community: The Return of Boys to our Preps and Pre-Preps

We are excited to share that, from September 2026, boys will begin moving up from our Nursery into Reception, marking the gradual reintroduction of boys into our Prep and Pre-Prep School.

This step reflects growing interest from families who value our strong holistic ethos and unique grounds and setting and would like their sons and daughters to share their educational journey together.

At St Augustine’s, our strong sense of community, academic excellence, and deep care for each individual child remain at the heart of everything we do. This is a natural evolution of our school rather than a change to who we are, building on our strengths and allowing us to offer the same joyful, inspiring education to even more children.
