School Committees

At St Augustine’s, our committees offer meaningful opportunities for students and parents to share their perspectives, shape school life, lead projects, and strengthen our community through shared initiatives and events.

Parents Committees

The St Augustine’s Priory Parents’ Committee (SAPPC) helps bring our whole community together through an inviting calendar of events across the school year. These occasions create shared memories, strengthen home–school links, and offer relaxed opportunities for staff and pupils to collaborate beyond the classroom. The events include Fireworks Night, the Christmas Fair, Summer Fair, Second-Hand Uniform Sales, Quiz Night, and the Moonlight Cinema. These much-loved occasions create opportunities for families, pupils, and staff to connect, celebrate, and enjoy shared experiences throughout the year.

Priory 6th Leadership Team

The Priory 6th Leadership Team is led by the Head Girl and plays an active role in shaping student life at St Augustine’s Priory. As role models within the school, team members take on a variety of responsibilities from organising events and supporting school initiatives to representing the student voice and welcoming guests at key occasions.

The School Council

The School Council at St Augustine’s Priory is a key platform for promoting student voice across the school from our Preps to our Senior school. Made up representatives from each class, the council meets regularly to share ideas, raise concerns, and work on initiatives that matter to pupils. Supported by staff, it empowers students to use their voice to collaborate, lead, and make a meaningful impact on school life.

Inclusion Committee

At St Augustine’s Priory, our Inclusion Committees play a vital role in fostering a school culture rooted in equity, diversity, and inclusion. Meeting fortnightly in both the Prep and Senior Schools, these student-led forums offer a space for open dialogue, reflection, and action. Guided by our Catholic ethos and informed by best practice through our membership with the School Inclusion Alliance, the Committees help embed inclusive values across school life, from curriculum development to representation in reading materials, assemblies, and displays. By amplifying student voice and creating space for courageous conversations, we are working to build a school community where every individual is heard, respected, and empowered.
