Admissions Process
We offer admissions from Nursery to Sixth Form. While our school is girls-only from year 7 upwards, we provide a co-educational environment in the Pre-Preps and Preps school, fostering a nurturing foundation for lifelong learning.
Whether you are local or relocating, we are committed to helping your child to flourish academically and personally within our welcoming community.
We aim to make the application process straightforward, with a step-by-step guide below. For any questions, feel free to contact us at 020 8997 2022 or admissions@sapriory.com.
Our Open Events allow prospective parents to explore the school and meet our Headteacher, Mrs Macallister, other key staff and existing pupils. You will also have the chance to ask questions and find out what makes our school unique and a great choice. Alternatively, arrange a visit at a time that suits via the form below:
Complete an online school registration form and pay a non-refundable £150 (inclusive of VAT) registration fee; this does not guarantee that a place will be offered. At this stage, we also require proof of identification/immigration status. If you are familiar with our school, you can register without a visit.
Entry into Nursery
We invite all children to attend an informal play session in the Nursery after which a decision can be made in conjunction with parents regarding start dates.
Entry into Reception, Years 1 and 2
In line with the School’s admission process, prospective pupils are observed in a classroom environment undertaking a range of age appropriate activities. All prospective parents have the opportunity to meet with the Headteacher and undertake a tour of the School.
Entry into Years 3 to 6
Candidates wishing to enter Years 3 to 6 are invited as part of our selective entry process to sit English and Maths entrance papers followed by a classroom assessment, an interview, and references. All applicants and their parents meet with the Headteacher as part of our selection process.
We aim to identify pupils who will benefit from our well-rounded education and contribute positively to our school.
Entry into Year 7 (11+ entry)
For Year 7 admissions (Senior School) entry, we follow the London 11+ Consortium process. Click below for details:
Entry into year 7 – Joining at 11+
Entry into Years 8 - 10
Candidates wishing to enter Years 8 to 10 are invited as part of our selective entry process to sit English and Maths entrance papers followed by a classroom assessment, an interview, and references. All applicants meet with the Headteacher as part of our selection process.
Entry into Year 12
We welcome applications for Year 12 entry in September to our vibrant and high-achieving Priory Sixth (Sixth Form).
Priory Sixth provides a dynamic and supportive environment where students are empowered to excel academically, develop independence, and prepare for top university destinations. With outstanding teaching, personalised guidance, and extensive co-curricular opportunities, students grow into confident, capable young adults.
Prospective Sixth Form students are invited to attend an extended interview with the Headteacher and Director of Sixth Form in January and February 2025. This allows us to get to know each candidate beyond their academic profile.
We are looking for academically ambitious, well-rounded individuals who demonstrate a passion for learning both inside and outside the classroom. Alongside academic achievement, we value students who are engaged in areas such as music, drama, art, sport, and community service - qualities that reflect our commitment to developing confident and ambitious individuals ready to embrace challenges, achieve great things, and make a lasting impact in their careers and the wider world.
Upon receiving an offer letter, you typically have 14 days to accept. A £2000 deposit (Reception to Priory 6th entry) or a reduced deposit for Nursery, along with a signed acceptance form, is required.
The deposit is refundable once your child leaves the school, provided that the full notice period is met and all outstanding fees and charges have been paid in full.
Once the place is confirmed, we will send the relevant to ensure a smooth transition.
St Augustine’s Priory welcomes applications from international pupils residing abroad at the time of registration. We offer a nurturing, inclusive environment where pupils from all backgrounds can thrive. The application process is the same as for UK-based applicants, though we are experienced at co-ordinating admissions with families and schools worldwide.
Offers are subject to the applicants’ right to study in the UK. We are approved by UK Visa and Immigration to hold a Sponsor Licence for UK Child Student Route Sponsorship, available for children aged 4 to 12. For more information, please contact Mrs Rafter, Director of Marketing and Admissions, at arafter@sapriory.com.
Siblings receive priority in assessments, though admission is not automatic. The school may determine that a sibling would thrive better in a different environment.
We offer external scholarships at 11+ and 16+ (Years 6 and 11). More details are available on the scholarship page.
