Faith Life

At our Catholic school every child is known, valued, and inspired to flourish.

We warmly welcome families of all faiths and none, embracing a diverse and inclusive community where mutual respect and shared values underpin all we do. Our mission is to educate the whole person, academically, spiritually, and socially, preparing pupils not only for success, but for lives of purpose, compassion, and integrity.

History

St Augustine’s Priory has a rich history of empowering students since 1634. Originally founded in Paris, the Augustinian nuns (Canonesses Regular of the Lateran) relocated to England in 1911, where they established their school and convent in Ealing. Although the order of nuns departed from St Augustine’s in 1996, their enduring belief in faith and community continues to inspire the school’s values and mission today, fostering a nurturing environment where students are encouraged to grow academically, spiritually, and personally.

Prayer & Wellbeing

The school day begins with a reflection or prayer for all students from Nursery through to Sixth Form.

Regular Mass & Liturgical celebrations provide opportunities for year groups and the whole school to come together in shared moments of reflection, marking important occasions throughout the year such as our Feast Day or Carol Service which are  held at Ealing Abbey. These events foster a strong sense of community and reinforce the values at the heart of our school.

Social Justice and Catholic Social Teachings

At St Augustine’s Priory, Social Justice is a cornerstone of our Catholic identity. Inspired by the teachings of the Church, we encourage our pupils to understand and actively respond to issues of fairness, equality, and human dignity.

Curriculum Integration

Catholic Social Teaching principles are embedded throughout Religious Education and across the curriculum, helping girls to develop a deep awareness of social justice issues locally and globally.

Service and Outreach

Our students engage in meaningful community service projects, fundraising for charities, and campaigns that support vulnerable groups both in Ealing and beyond.

Empathy and Leadership

Through leadership opportunities and reflective learning, pupils grow into compassionate, responsible citizens who are empowered to make a positive impact in the world.

Sustainability and Stewardship

Caring for creation and promoting environmental responsibility are vital parts of our social justice mission, encouraging students to be stewards of the earth.

We believe that by fostering a strong sense of social justice, our girls develop the values and skills to build a more just and compassionate society.
