Sixth Form Curriculum

At St Augustine’s Priory Sixth, our academically ambitious and supportive environment offers a high-achieving Sixth Form experience for girls preparing for university and beyond.

With us, you will have everything you need to achieve your very best; supported every step of the way by passionate subject specialists, one-to-one academic mentoring, and exceptional careers and university guidance. Here, expert time is not rationed - it is embedded into daily life. You won’t be lost in a crowd; you’ll be known, encouraged, and empowered to succeed.

Our broad A Level curriculum, taught by expert subject specialists, delivers outstanding academic outcomes in small, seminar-style classes that replicate the best of university-level learning.

Students typically study three A Levels, with the opportunity to take a fourth, and many also pursue the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ); developing advanced skills in research, critical thinking and academic writing that top Russell Group universities highly value. Whether it is STEM, Humanities, Languages or Creative Arts, every subject is taught with passion, depth and a focus on individual student progress.

Our Sixth Formers enjoy access to a dedicated, well-equipped Priory Sixth Common Room and study space, ideal for both collaborative and independent work, as well as a rich collection of journals and digital resources. Students also benefit from a dynamic academic enrichment programme including the UK Maths Challenge, Model United Nations, National Cipher Challenge, Mock Trial Competition, Travel Scholarships, School Production at Questors Theatre, Priory Pyrotechnics, Fright Night, Oxbridge Applications, Financial Capability and more, enhancing their personal statements and university applications.

With consistently exceptional A Level results, our students regularly progress to leading UK universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, Durham, Exeter, and international institutions. Our small class sizes and individualised support ensure that every student is known, challenged and empowered to succeed.

In the words of some of our Priory Sixth students:

“We have a really good balance between freedom and discipline, this introduces us to a different relationship with teachers which allows us to develop our skills in communication.”

“The number of opportunities and experiences we get that can help with UCAS is excellent, but so is the one to one time with teachers and smaller class sizes that allow us to talk through problems.”
