A huge congratulations to our talented young historians, Alice and Lucia, who have achieved fantastic success in the Historical Association’s Young Historian Awards!

Both Senior Students entered the Modern World History category, where they were challenged to write an essay exploring a significant historical event. Their hard work, enthusiasm and impressive historical knowledge certainly caught the attention of the judges, with both students receiving special commendation from the Director of the awards for the quality of their work.

Alice was recognised for her thoughtful essay on the Cuban Missile Crisis, and was awarded a £25 book token in recognition of her achievement.

Lucia was also highly commended for her essay on the Armenian Genocide, earning a year’s student membership of the Historical Association.

It is wonderful to see our students engaging so enthusiastically with history and producing work of such a high standard. Their achievements are a testament to their dedication, curiosity and passion for the subject.
