LAMDA Showcase Celebrates Student Talent
An evening of excellent entertainment was promised and our expectations were more than fulfilled as The Questors Theatre was the venue for our LAMDA Showcase on Friday 5th June. Students, families and staff gathered for an evening celebrating the talent, creativity, and dedication of our LAMDA students. Students from Years 1-10 delighted us all with a well-thought out and wide-ranging programme.
Pupils treated the audience to an engaging programme of poetry, acting, speeches, singing, and musical theatre, featuring works ranging from Roald Dahl to Shakespeare. The showcase provided a valuable opportunity for students to demonstrate the skills and confidence they have developed throughout the year while performing on a professional stage in front of their families.
We were delighted to welcome back our Special Guest Judge, Tracey Andrews of Tracey Andrews Talent Management, alongside actress Kayla Rowe-Wilson, who recently appeared in Scoop on Netflix. Both guests praised the exceptional standard of performances, and we are thrilled that Tracey has since offered professional representation to two of our pupils.
The evening was also an opportunity to celebrate our students’ outstanding LAMDA examination results, with 82% achieving Distinctions, 17% Merits, and 1% Passes.
Congratulations to all who took part, and thank you to our LAMDA teacher, Mrs Hewitt, and Head of Drama, Ms Brown, for their dedication in preparing the girls for such a successful and memorable evening.
