Poetry Parade 2026 at St Augustine's Priory

We are delighted to introduce our brand-new event, the Priory Poetry Parade, taking place on Tuesday 28th April 2026 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.

Open to Year 5 and Year 6 pupils, this lively celebration of language and culture invites young performers to recite a memorised poem in French or Spanish. Pupils can choose from a curated anthology or select a favourite of their own, bringing words to life in a fun, supportive setting.

The event is designed to build confidence, creativity, and communication skills, with pupils performing in front of parents, teachers, and peers. Certificates and prizes will be awarded for outstanding performances, and participating schools will also be recognised.

Pupils should attend with a parent or guardian, and teachers are warmly invited to come along and show their support. To keep things simple for schools, St Augustine’s Priory will manage all registration directly with parents.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Parents should register their interest by Friday 13th February 2026 using the details in the event flyer, which also includes access to the poetry anthologies.

Guests will enjoy refreshments and the chance to visit our onsite farm, making this a memorable and enriching experience for all.

Join us for an inspiring celebration of language, performance, and young talent!
